TIPS FOR MAKING AND USING DIY BODY SCRUBS:

  • Use fresh ingredients for the best results.

  • Store your body scrub in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.

  • Use your body scrub once or twice a week.

  • Be gentle when applying the scrub, especially if you have sensitive skin.

  • If you experience any irritation, stop using the scrub immediately.

Remember, scrubs for the face should be different than scrubs for the body. The skin on the face is much thinner and more delicate than the skin on the body, so it requires a gentler exfoliator.

Also, if you add water to your body scrub make sure you use it within 1-3 days. Water is a great environment for bacteria to grow. Over time, this can lead to the scrub becoming contaminated, which could cause skin irritation or infection.

Do not overuse body scrubs. Too much exfoliation removes the new skin cells and makes the skin more vulnerable to dryness and irritation.
